USB Direct Cable Gage Interface for Starrett Wisdom Indicators Send data directly to Excel---No Software Wedge RequiredThis USB Direct Cable single gage interface connects the Starrett Wisdom 2700 series Digital Indicators to a computer through a USB port. This gage interface connects directly to the device, no additional cables required. The output of the USB Direct Cable is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.Connecting the USB Direct Cable with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the USB Direct Cable gage interface to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The USB Direct Cable gage interface will make the gage readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data acquisition errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer based SPC programs, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear. Readings can be triggered by any of the following: Pressing the push button on the USB Direct Cable gage interface Depressing a connected footswitch (not included) Pressing the send button on the Starrett gage Simple to install! Simple to use!This USB Direct Cable gage interface is easily configured to output data in different modes, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, right and continuous reading. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the USB Direct Cable. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
